What is an Open Market Option?
There’s now what’s called an “Open Market Option” (OMO) on all pensions. This means that now you have the choice to take your pension fund away from the company you’ve been investing with and arrange your income with another company, who may give you a higher income for the same money.
It doesn’t matter if you have:
· A company pension
· An executive pension
· A personal Pension
This means that you can take your fund and do a number of things
· Buy an annuity
· Take Drawdown
· Use a 3rd Way provider
· A combination of all of the above to suit your needs.
Now, that has probably complicated things for you. It is complicated and that is why we have created our step-by-step retirement income options process to enable you, with our help, to find the most appropriate combination of options to suit your needs.
If you would like to find out how our step-by-step retirement income options process could be of help to you, please call us.
Click through to our Annuities, Drawdown and 3rd Way pages to find out more about each of these options.
Do not buy your annuity or take your income from your present provider until you have looked at your Open Market Option!
It’s important you get this choice right, as, once you have made your decision there may be no going back!
